Found about 30 minutes away, the popular attraction is a must-visit. Open daily, the park is a great place to take in the region’s natural beauty and enjoy an array of outdoor activities. Entrance passes are required seasonally at park beaches, but are often not required elsewhere in the park. Passes are not sold at visitor centers and can only be purchased at beach entrances.
What to Do During Your Visit?
The Cape Cod National Seashore stretches 40 miles and is home to spacious beaches, scenic bike trails, and so much more. Its array of activities and attractions means you won’t have any trouble finding things to do that suit everyone’s interests.
Relax on a Beach

Visit Iconic Lighthouses
Here, you can find some of Cape Cod’s most recognizable landmarks: lighthouses. The Nauset Light, known for its classic red and white design, was completed in 1838. Visit during tour times and climb the light, visit the lookout room, and learn about its history.
Go Exploring
One of the best ways to take in the beauty of the seashore is by exploring a trail that runs through the park. There are three bike trails in the seashore, which means you can find one that suits your group best. There are also scenic dune and marsh trails like the Fort Hill Trail, where you can see vistas of the Nauset Marsh area.
Look for Wildlife
No matter what activities you’re enjoying, be sure to keep your eyes open for the wildlife that call this area home. See if you can spot harbor seals lounging near the shore. While hiking through marshes, look for shorebirds, ospreys, and other birds. Depending on the time of year, you can also see whales out in the distance.
