What to Do During the Cape Cod Event
Brewster in Bloom is an annual spring festival in Brewster, usually held in late April or early May. It celebrates the town’s beauty during the blooming season and offers a variety of family-friendly activities and attractions that visitors and locals alike can enjoy.
- The festival kicks off with the Brewster Band Spring Concert. Enjoy live music at this free concert; donations are accepted.
- The main event is the parade, which starts at 1 p.m. at Eddy Elementary School. The parade features floats from local organizations, businesses, and clubs and heads west on Route 6A to Swamp Road.
- Another popular part of the festival is the arts and crafts fair. Shop booths filled with unique handmade items like paintings, pottery, and jewelry. Admission and parking is free.
- Sign up for the Bloom Run. The 5K run starts at the Brewster Inn & Woodshed and travels along Route 6A. We recommend registering online, but same-day registration is available.
Sponsors are also known to host their own events. For example, the Brewster Historical Society hosts open houses at the Cobb House Museum and Windmill Village. Private gardens are often opened to the public as part of a garden tour that showcases stunning spring blooms.
